Using Web Analytics To Make Your Website More Effective

by | Oct 26, 2020 | Web

A website can serve as the backbone of your business. From giving you leads to understanding more about your audiences, a website is one of the most important assets you have. A key aspect of a successful site is installing proper web analytics. Using various analytics tools, you can make your website more effective and increase conversions.

Different web analytics tools:

Website Grader

This tool is more for evaluating your website, but the end goal is still the same – to help in creating the perfect website. This Hubspot tool grades your website’s performance, SEO, security, and mobile friendliness to evaluate what you do well and what you don’t.

Hotjar

Getting into actual analytical tools, Hotjar is great for tracking the user’s journey on your site. You can create heatmaps and recordings to follow along as users scroll through your pages. If you are wanting to see if people are going through your pages, where they click most often, and how far down they actually go on a page, this is the tool to use.

Google Analytics

One of the most basic, yet important web tools out there is Google Analytics. This lets you see everything you need to know about your website. New users, source channel, user demographics, page views, time on pages, and more.

While there are many more web analytics tools out there, the three above are a great starting point. We also recommend looking into Google Tag Manager to host all these analytical codes to not hurt page loading speed. A lot of these tools can be confusing to install, manage, or use to better your website; reach out to us if you need any help!
